Home of notorious serial killer up for sale in Long Island

EAST MEADOWN, N.Y. (CNN) - There’s a home for sale listing on Long Island that stands out as the location of several brutal murders.

The home where serial killer Joel Rifkin killed and dismembered many of his 17 victims was listed for sale for just under $800,000.

According to the real estate website Zillow, the property’s price tag is in line with some neighboring houses.

The home’s listing describes it as a “beautiful expanded Cape” that was built in 1951.

Rifkin is serving a 203-year prison sentence for the murders, which took place between 1989 and 1993.
