Union Parish LDCC now “Lowest Priority” for 2024

UNION PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has dropped the construction of the new Union Parish campus of Louisiana Delta Community College from a priority one project to a priority five - the state’s lowest priority.

According to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s office, that still gives those in charge of building the new campus the authority to enter into contracts. However, it does not allow any payments to be made without specific approval.

In April 2023, the legislature gave its approval for a new campus to be built.

There’s no word yet on how this will affect the opening date for the new campus.
