Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum announces new location for future home
Museum leaders say the Forsythe Avenue and Broadmoor Boulevard site is a strategic move forward.
MONROE, La. (KNOE) — The Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum announced the location of its future home during the museum’s Donor Lift Off Breakfast.
The museum has been searching for a larger space since 2022.
Executive Director Melissa Saye said the museum’s new home will be at the corner of Forsythe Avenue and Broadmoor Boulevard, near Monroe Surgical Hospital.
Saye said donors contributed enough money for the museum to purchase the property.
“This museum will reflect and highlight what we have here to offer in Northeast Louisiana,” Saye said. “It’ll be something for us to be proud of, sharing what we do best in our industries — manufacturing, health care, agriculture — all the things that make us unique here in Northeast Louisiana.”
Museum leaders said the move is a more strategic path forward.
Construction is expected to begin in late summer. Leaders said the museum is expected to open in late 2027.
