Fellows First Recovery bringing 3.1 “step-down” program to Northeast Louisiana
Fellows First Recovery to help men who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction
RAYVILLE, La. (KNOE) — Fellows First Recovery is opening a substance abuse treatment center for men in Rayville, organizers said.
The facility will be able to house up to 96 clients and will offer job placement assistance, help and other resources, according to organizers. The center also plans to provide Medicaid-funded treatment.
Whitley Lewis, a part-owner of Fellows First Recovery, said the program’s goal is to help clients rebuild family connections while receiving care.
“There are a lot of 3.5 programs in the Northeast Louisiana area, but not a lot of 3.1 programs, which is the step down,” said Lewis. We have the opportunity to help men as they’re coming out of residential treatment and trying to merge back into society. This three to six-month program is going to help them learn how to relearn, how to get a job."
Organizers said the center is expected to be fully open by the first week of June.
