Man pulls gun out on Wendy’s employees in drive-thru window, report says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF/Gray News) - Authorities in South Carolina said a scary situation occurred at a fast food restaurant Monday.

The Horry County officials said officers responded to a Wendy’s in Murrells Inlet for a pointing and presenting call around 12:20 a.m.

Officials said a man driving a minivan had asked for a Sprite at the window, then pulled out a gun on two employees when they returned with the drink, according to the police report.

One of the victims got everyone to hide and wait in the office until police came.

Investigators said they looked for the man’s minivan but were unable to find it, according to the report.

The report also states that there was no video available of the crime.

Police marked the case as “admin closed” without further suspect information.
