Two teenagers arrested, other suspects identified after El Dorado man found dead in someone’s yard
EL DORADO, Ark. (KNOE) - Two suspects were arrested in connection to the homicide of 24-year-old Dayshawn Smith of El Dorado.
Smith was found just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, in front of a home near the corner of West Cook Street and Murphy Avenue.
Investigators said they believe Smith was shot at least one time in the street in front of the home and then ran into the front yard of the home before collapsing.
Captain Jarod Primm of the El Dorado Police Department said several suspects were identified, and two were arrested. One of the suspects arrested is 17 years old and the other is 15.
Both suspects arrested face capital murder charges along with several other charges. They will appear in the Union County District Court on December 13 at 10 a.m.
The El Dorado Police Department says both of the suspects will be charged as adults.
