(CNN) - An unusual and illegal find was uncovered at Boston Logan International Airport last week.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection K-9 sniffed out the mummified remains of four monkeys during a screening.

It was inside a passenger’s luggage on a flight from Paris.

The owner declared the remains as dried fish, but according to Customs and Border Protection, it was actually bushmeat, which is raw or minimally-processed meat from wild animals.

It is illegal to bring into the U.S. because it can contain germs that cause illness.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention detained the meat and marked it for destruction.

The CDC told the airline to destroy the bag or return it to France.
