On the morning of May 19, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) arrested a man accused of a violent domestic incident.
The partially blind student at Hillcrest Elementary placed second in the Apprentice Division of the International Braille Challenge last year as a first grader. She was the first Louisiana student to place in the competition.
Stephanie Martin, one of Boney’s teachers, said the school labeled different items with braille wherever there was print.
