MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Meet Meet Big Mac!

This sweet girl has been at the shelter for two years now! In that time, she has gotten her weight down to be more healthy, fallen in love with every human she’s met and in general lived her best life - but Big Mac is ready to find her forever home with her person.

Big Mac is sweet, snuggly and so well behaved! She loves adventures, doesn’t mind cats at all and is overall the most put together dog - and Big Mac, we’ve ever seen!

Ruston Animal Shelter Adoption Policy

All adoptions are first-come, first-served at the shelter. Please contact us if these hours do not work for you or if you are interested in taking an adoptable pet out for the day or weekend to test compatibility! There is no pre-adoption application or paperwork; everything is done at the shelter at the time of adoption - just bring an open heart, cash or check to pay, and transportation items (leash, collar, crate/carrier, etc).

Pay by cash or check only:

Dog adoption fee: $150

Cat adoption fee: $120

All dogs and cats come microchipped. Those over 4 months old will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated for rabies prior to adoption. We will coordinate with you for any pets adopted before turning 4 months old to come back to the shelter to get spayed/neutered and receive their rabies vaccine free of charge after turning 4 months old.
