The search is on for answers, and whoever is responsible, for killing a young man from Bastrop. Family members say the body is that of 15 year old Raymerio Lee.

Family members say getting the phone call from police, hearing he was found dead, was like a punch in the gut. They say now, all they can do is hope police find answers soon.

Raymerio Lee, known as "Red" by family and friends, has been missing since Monday.

Bastrop Police Chief Allen Campbell says they're not confirming Lee was the one found dead until autopsy results come back, but in the meantime, they're leaving no stone unturned.

Betty Carter, "Red"s grandma, says she got the call from a friend, who works with Bastrop Police.

"My babies, my kids, my grandkids, they're my heart. He wasn't a child without love, we loved that baby," Carter said.

They haven't made any funeral arrangements just yet.

Chief Campbell says they found the body deep in the woods off of Shady Oaks Street in West Bastrop around five Wednesday afternoon, but he says it looks like it was dumped there. They're still investigating, but Campbell says they hope to have a suspect, or a better idea of what happened, soon.
