ChillFest is a brand new event coming to downtown Monroe on August 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a concert by The Cleverlys at 6 p.m. The event features frozen drinks, winter-themed sports, water slides, a makers' fair, and snow flurries. We have registration opportunities open for the games, and we'd love to invite people to the event.
This event is being hosted by The Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau, and you can learn more on our website at monroe-westmonroe.org/chillfest.
ChillFest will be on August 24, 2019, in downtown Monroe in the parking lot at the corner of N 3rd Street and Desiard. We'll have Freeze Tag at Palace Park, and a human curling tournament on a waterslide in Art Alley. There'll be a Louisiana State Games 5K happening the morning of that starts and ends at the event. We'll have a dunking booth and snow machines throughout the main area. A DJ will play music during the day (some Vanilla Ice will be involved). The main potion of this event will end at 5p.m., but then The Cleverlys will have a concert to finish out the day at the new Hub Music Hall.
