Riverfield Academy ended their season on a three-game losing streak, but the Raiders turned it around when it mattered the most. Now Riverfield finds themselves one win away from heading to the MAIS state championship game. Northeast Louisiana noticed the Raiders’ huge win over Carroll Academy (22-13), and have elected them the Little Caesars Team of the Week.
The Storm won their first district 1-1A title over Delhi Charter, 60-42. Delta Charter has been lighting up the scoreboard all season, outscoring opponents 378 to 128. The Storm now switch their focus to Block to end the season and look to finish with a 8-1 record.
The Hornets are buzzing loud with a two game winning streak! After starting the season 1-4, Rayville has flipped the script and beat Madison and Vidalia to improve to 3-4. The Hornets know their is still a lot of work to do with three games left in the regular season.
The Wossman Wildcats have had a complete turnaround, just six weeks into the 2023 season, Wossman has already passed their win total from last year with a 5-1 record. The first time being 5-1 since 2019.
Ouachita football wins the first Little Caesars Team of the Week of the 2023 season. The Lions beat Archbishop Rummel, 21-20, in their season opener. Benjy Lewis started his head coaching career at Ouachita with a victory.
Winning the 1A regional championship is nothing new to OCS track and field. Both the boys and the girls repeated as regional champs this past weekend, earing them the KNOE Little Caesars Team of the Week award. Now the Eagles switch their focus to repeating as state champs.
Calvin softball celebrating another successful season with a Little Caesars pizza party. The Lady Cougars finished undefeated in district play and took home a district title. Calvin also won their first playoff game against Castor (13-3)
The Quitman softball team celebrating their first round by as the #2 seed in the non-select division V bracket with some Little Caesars. The Lady Wolverines have put up a dominant season, winning 23 of their last 24 games. Quitman is eyeing their first softball state championship in school history.
The Caldwell Parish Lady Spartans keeping make noise under first year head coach, Jordan Laffoon. Caldwell Parish has won three of their last four games, beating state ranked opponent such as Tioga and Claiborne Christian. The Lady Spartans are currently ranked 11th in non-select division III with two games left in the regular season.
D’Arbonne Woods girls powerlifting tossed around the competition in the state championship, putting up 52.2 points, 17 more points than second place. The division IV champions were selected by northeast Louisiana to have the Little Caesars Team of the Week honors.
The Choudrant Lady Aggies bats have been on fire for their last six games, outscoring opponents 76 to 24. Choudrant currently sits at 17-3 and 5th in the power rankings for Class B. The Lady Aggies thank their team chemistry and confidence for their success.
West Monroe girls’ powerlifting is celebrating a Regional Championship. All 48 members took a short break from preparing to defend their state title to enjoy the recognition of Little Caesars Team of the Week.

The road to to the state championship game goes through Wossman as they have earned the number one seed in non-select district II.
The Rayville Hornets are celebrating nine consecutive district championships. After going undefeated in district play, the Hornets earned themselves the 5th seed in non-select division III as well as team of the week honors.
Sterlington girls basketball has been on a tear, after Hope Tucker hit the buzzer beating three against Union Parish, they have been playing their best ball. The Lady Panthers have won four of their last six, boosting them to number five in non-select division III, the Lady Panthers thank their team chemistry for their success.
The Lady Eagles are coming off a huge revenge victory of Cedar Creek at home to push them ahead to third in the power rankings. OCS is also on a hot streak winning 12 of their last 13 games. Earning them the Little Caesars Team of the Week honors.
Claiborne Christian has quietly put together a solid season together, sitting with a 17-7 record and winning four straight games. As of now, the Crusaders are ranked 5th in select division V with a undefeated district record. Claiborne Christian’s hot streak has earned them the Little Caesars Team of the Week honors.
The Rebels have been on a tear outscoring opponents 22 to 1 since the beginning of the new year. Their defense has also been playing lockdown with 13 shutouts on the season. Their phenomenal play lands them as the first Little Caesars Team of the Week of 2023.
The Raiders are one step closer to bringing home a state title back to Rayville for their first time since 2020 after beating Brookhaven Academy in the quarterfinals. For now they are celebrating with a pizza party after being named the Little Caesars Team of the Week but it is right back to work as they have to take on Saint Joseph for the rights to play in the MAIS championship game.
Delhi Charter is sitting at 8-1 and have clinched their spot in the playoffs with their first district championship in 15 years. The Gators successful season has earned them the Little Caesars Team of the Week honors. Now they shift their focus to Sicily Island before they prepare for playoffs.
The Dragons have had a season to remember and it still isn’t over. Behind the legs of Jalen Williams, the #1 running back in the state, Mangham has had one of the most explosive offenses in Louisiana. Now Scott Wilcher’s team sits at 7-1 with all the confidence in the world but they are still far from their main goal of a state championship.
The Richwood Rams improved to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in District 1-3A with a 44-8 win over rival Wossman. Under Head Coach Marcus Yanez, the Rams are off to their best start since 2017. Before Richwood hosts the 6-1 Union Parish Farmers Friday, the Rams celebrated winning Little Caesars Team of the Week with a pizza party.
The Patriots look like a whole new program under new head coach Adrian Burnette. The Patriots are 5-1 on the season and that is already more win than the three previous seasons combined. Now the Patriots switch focus to Tioga and try to move to 6-1.
D’Arbonne Woods football looks like a whole new team from a few years ago when they only had one win. Now the Timberwolves are off to a 4-1 start as they head into district play against a tough Lakeside team. After a 42-25 win over River Oaks last Friday, they earn the little Caesars Pizza Team of the Week honors.
Carroll captures the Little Caesars Team of the Week after stunning the defending 3A State Champion Sterlington Panthers, 34-20. The Bulldogs are an undefeated 3-0 on the season and face off against Bastrop Friday for their homecoming game.
