KNOE 8 News - In Jay Dardenne's first news conference as Commissioner of Administration-designee, he said the state's financial problems are far worse than previously thought, and the possibility of raising taxes is on the table, along with spending cuts and the roll back of possible tax-breaks. The states government is about $1.9 billion short on revenue which includes a gap of up to $750 million that must be bridge by June.
Legislature would have to approve any changes before they take affect.
