LSU football advances to national title game with rout over Oklahoma

ATLANTA, Ga. (KNOE) - No. 1 LSU (14-0) will play for the national championship after beating No. 4 Oklahoma (13-1) in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl 63-28.

Quarterback Joe Burrow went 29 for 39 for 493 yards passing and seven touchdowns. The Heisman winner also rushed for another score.

Justin Jefferson led the team in receiving with 14 catches for 227 yards and four touchdowns.

The Tiger defense held Oklahoma to 322 total yards on the day and forced the lone turnover in the game on an interception.

LSU will now play the winner of the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.

The championship game will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020.
