Louisiana Yam Cake


2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. oil
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. mashed cooked yams
1/2 c. chopped nuts


Mix flour, soda and all dry ingredients together.
Combine sugar and oil in mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat well.
Add vanilla and stir in all dry ingredients.
Add yams and pecans.
Pour in bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
