As positive cases rise in Northeast Louisiana, officials at Ochsner LSU Health Medical Center say they've been seeing more people get vaccinated and tested for COVID-19.
Ronnie Johns says he has resigned his seat in the Louisiana Senate, where he has represented District 27 since 2012, in order to accept an appointment from Governor John Bel Edwards as the Chairman of the Louisiana State Gaming Control Board.
The free event starts at 11 a.m. in downtown El Dorado. There will be live music, grill wars, a reenactment called Showdown at Sunset and more fun attractions.
