MONROE, La (KNOE) - Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter is a governmental agency under the Ouachita Parish Police Jury. The agency is responsible for protecting the public safety and health as associated with domestic and wild animals. O.P.A.S. accepts strays and owner turn-ins.
Their website is updated several times a week, and the pets listed on the site are a mere fraction of the animals that are at the shelter. Over 100 or more animals are sheltered at any given time so you can visit their shelter to see all of the adoptable animals or to see if we have your lost pet!!
