OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Update: This story has been updated to include the name of the victim.

A West Monroe woman was arrested after a fatal crash on Highway 557 near Red Cut Road in Ouachita Parish, according to state police. This is also near Highway 34.

The crash happened on the night of Jan. 12, 2020, just before 9:00 p.m.

State police say 36-year-old Amanda Fletcher's SUV crossed the center line into the southbound lane crashing into another vehicle. That vehicle was a motorcycle driven by 35-year-old Ronald Smith Jr., of Farmerville. Smith was killed in the crash.

Troopers say Fletcher admitted to drinking one and a half glasses of wine before driving that night and was on prescription Adderall at the time of the crash, according to arrest records.

Police say she performed poorly on a field sobriety test after the crash. Police also say she was subsequently tested using a breath sample. They say the Intoxilyzer locked at .141g% blood alcohol level before showing a warning that another substance was interfering with the reading.

Fletcher was arrested and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of vehicular homicide, improper lane use and no seat belt.
