West Monroe PD makes arrests in violent home invasion

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Police say they've arrested multiple people after a home invasion in West Monroe.

The home invasion reportedly happened Wednesday, April 10, around 10 p.m.

According to arrest records, the victim fled into a family member's home in the 700 block of North 3rd Street and said he was being followed by several people.

Moments later, records state, someone kicked in the front door and about half a dozen people stormed inside. The victim was allegedly attacked by these people while in the living room, and he was hit in the head by someone wielding brass knuckles. The victim was then thrown out of a window.

After WMPD officers arrived, they were able to find two suspects in the nearby area based on clothing descriptions.

Police arrested 19-year-old Derrick Logwood, AKA Samurai, and 21-year-old Aaron Bowman.

Both were booked on charges of home invasion and criminal conspiracy.

Logwood and Bowman denied being part of anything that happened.
