The Wellspring Alliance Organization closed it's doors at their old facility on Jackson street and opened their doors today at a new facility on Hart street.

Members of the organization say moving downtown will make it much easier for people who don't have cars to walk there.

"A lot of our clients don't have vehicles and they're having to ride the Monroe transit and they're having to walk places and with us being located two blocks down it's more conveniently located for them," said Brenda Sittig, who works as a Veteran Program Screener.

The wellspring Alliance is a non-profit organization which assist people who are in need. They assist people who suffer from homelessness, abuse, and violence through offering mentorship, therapy, and different programs to get affected individuals back on their feet.

"Our veterans program and our program for homeless families have prevention services so we can actually prevent people from becoming homeless if they have fallen on hard times that they are facing."

The new building is located at 400 Hart Street, right across from the Police Station.
