The West Monroe Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying those responsible for a theft on Monday.

On the evening of October 24, 2016 a baseball trailer along with $2500 worth of baseball gear was stolen from 1410 Natchitoches St. The white GMC truck pictured is the possible suspect vehicle.

Coach Trey Long of the West Monroe Sox - the youth baseball team the trailer was stolen from, says the trailer contained bats, balls, catcher's gear and other items that the team used for practice.

"The kids were shocked." says Long., "Many of them havent had something like this happen to them first hand, so a lot of them were disappointed."

Long says surveillance cameras captured the truck on its getaway, but did not get a good description of the suspect. With few other leads to go on, and the investigation still ongoing, Long says he just want's the stuff back for the kids' sake.

"We just want our stuff back so the kids can have it when the season starts up next year"

If anyone has any information, please contact Detective Ray Spoon at 318-396-2722.
