MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Slightly cooler temperatures and some clouds will remain with us through the majority of today, some sunshine is possible too. Showers will begin to return to the area this evening/overnight and really build back in during the day on Saturday.

A fairly significant severe weather event appears to be setting up, with the primary risks being tornadoes, wind, and hail, though isolated flooding is also a concern. The timing of the worst of the weather appears to be the afternoon/evening. Download our app for the most up-to-date forecasts for tomorrow.

Sunday will be sunny and cooler and we won't see a return of the rain until next Wednesday.
