MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A National Day of Mourning is being observed on Wednesday, December 5th, after the death of President George H.W. Bush.

This means that the United States Postal Service will also suspend operations for a day.

The Postal Service® will suspend regular mail delivery and retail service on Wednesday, December 5, according to a notice on the USPS website.

To honor President Bush's legacy, there will be no regular mail delivered that day. All post office locations will also be closed.

The post office will, however, have limited package delivery.
