MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A University of Louisiana Monroe football player was arrested after an incident at a home in Monroe on March 11.
According to an arrest report, Monroe police were called to the home after Jaylen Veasley allegedly went into the victim's home after being refused entry. The victim told police that Veasley went into a bedroom and tried to punch a male there. The report states that Veasley missed his target, and the two then grappled with each other. Several items were damaged in the ensuing scuffle, including a television.
Veasley was arrested a short time later and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of simple battery and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
Veasley is listed as a defensive lineman with the ULM football team.
