MOREHOUSE PARISH, La. (KNOE) - The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office says they've arrested three people in connection with an armed robbery that was reported on June 12, 2019.

Investigators say the robbery happened in the area of Grabault Road and US HWY 425. They say the victim was checking on corn in a field when one of the suspects came up to him, pointed a gun at him, and said, “Give me your money or I’m gonna kill you.” Investigators say the victim complied and the suspect ran toward a blue car that sped away.

Authorities say the victim reported seeing another suspect near the vehicle at the time of the robbery, but that suspect did not approach him.

Later, authorities found the vehicle wrecked at the intersection of US HWY 425 and Nip Eckles Road. Near the vehicle, they found one suspect, Varick Morgan Jr., who was detained and questioned. The other two suspects were then identified and arrested the next day. They are identified as Kendre Payton and a juvenile.

The suspects face charges of armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.
