MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The North Louisiana Red Cross is saying showing some appreciation to its donors.
It hosted a breakfast Thursday morning for all supporters of the annual BASH fundraiser. The BASH raises about $100,000 a year. That money goes toward disaster relief.
Executive Director Michelle Davison says its most common disaster is house fires.
"We help those clients year-in and year-out, every day of the week,” Davison explains. “That's one of the big places where the money we raise during BASH goes to support. It's to help those single-family home clients help to begin their recovery."
Next year's BASH will be held on April 13.
