"The Pelican State Goes to War" on exhibit at the Old Post Office Museum in Winnsboro
The amazing story of how Louisiana answered the call to duty during World War II is on display in Winnsboro.
"The Pelican State Goes to War" is at the Old Post Office Museum.
Kay LaFrance Knight says the display shows Louisiana was at the forefront of US defense preparations during the war.
It's a traveling exhibit from the World War II Museum in New Orleans.
"We're thrilled to have it up north. This is, I believe, the first traveling exhibit that the World War II museum has had and they stressed it would go everywhere possible within the state because it's so important for people to see," said Kay LaFrance Knight.
The exhibit also includes artwork from the Franklin Parish gifted and talented art students.
The exhibit will be at the Old Post Office Museum until June 7, 2019.
