The Downtown Arts Alliance will host another fun and free Downtown Gallery Crawl full of visual art and great food.

Press Chair Emi McIntyre joined us Monday morning to talk about all the different art galleries that will be joining them on February 6.

One of those galleries includes the Palace located on 220 Desiard Street in Monroe.

They will have a creative show called 'Black Creatives Today' by a local group called Black Creatives Circle. These artists will present a show centered around Black History Month.

The gallery in West Monroe at the Hamilton House Inn will be their first art debut as they showcase an artist originally from South Africa. McIntyre says she will present her artwork in paintings.

The event is free and open to the public.

Transportation will be provided to the public to go from Monroe and West Monroe art galleries.

McIntyre says each visitor will be handed a ticket. If they visit each gallery their ticket will be stamped and will be given a free cheesecake from Copeland’s of New Orleans.

The Downtown Art Gallery Crawl is scheduled for February 6, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
