The 3rd annual All Patriots Rally

WEST MONROE, La (KNOE) The 3rd Annual All Patriots Rally takes place despite Mother Nature raining on their ride. The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 6-5 raised money to continue their mission of Vets helping Vets.

The fundraising event was supposed to include a motorcycle ride on Saturday, May 11, 2019, from West Monroe to Hooks Marina on Caney Lake in Chatham, Louisiana. But the marina was damaged during last week's storm. So they held the rally indoors in West Monroe.

Joey Muirhead with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association says this group is on a mission to help veterans all across Louisiana, no matter their need. One of their main ministries is supplying disabled veterans with motorized wheelchairs.

"It's all about the veterans. You know it's, when we come together we want to give to people the things we didn't receive and it's the honest truth, a lot of our older guys didn't get the welcome home, didn't get the thank yous, the I love you's, we do that for them now" said Muirhead.

The CVMA Chapter 6-5 raffled off a Harley Davidson. The lucky winner was Benny Hilbert of Bawcomville. One member of the organization cut off nearly a foot of his hair for the charity.
