TALLULAH, La. (KNOE) - A Tallulah woman is in jail for allegedly setting her boyfriend's home on fire.

According to investigators, the fire happened in the early hours of September 30th in the 100 block of Vilardo Road.

The Louisiana Office of state fire marshal arrested Corey Hutto, 35, and charged her with simple arson. Officials say the fire started on a mattress in a bedroom but fire damage was limited to that room because the door was closed.

The boyfriend told police he had left Hutto at the home alone after an argument and was called hours later and told his house was on fire.

Hutto's parents also told investigators she told them she had set the home on fire, but Hutto told investigators she couldn't remember anything.

Hutto was booked into the Madison Parish Detention Center.
