JACKSON PARISH, La. (KNOE) - According to the Jackson Parish Sheriff's Office, an elementary school student had to be removed from campus after threatening to blow up the school with dynamite.
It happened Friday at Weston Elementary School in Jonesboro, Louisiana.
The sheriff's office says that the student also threatened to cut another student's hair. They say the student was taken to a local hospital and then taken for psychiatric evaluation at another facility. Authorities say that the student will not be allowed back on campus.
The sheriff's office promises to "investigate any and all threats at any school to ensure that all of our students and faculty are kept safe."
