NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) - Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) took to the baseball field Wednesday to practice for this year’s Congressional Baseball Game.
But it was before practice that Scalise got the chance to welcome back Special Agent Crystal Griner to the field.
Agent Griner was instrumental in stopping the shooter two years ago, even after being shot herself.
I think about the heroes when I think about June 14, 2017. This morning, I was honored to welcome one of those heroes—Special Agent Crystal Griner—back to the field at our #CongressionalBaseballGame practice. We'll forever be grateful for the courageous action of Capitol Police. pic.twitter.com/5OTSsFOa5l— Steve Scalise (@SteveScalise) June 12, 2019
