MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Festivities at the state fair in Shreveport will be on hiatus for a day.
According to a spokesperson, the State Fair of Louisiana will not be open on Oct. 30, 2019, due to inclement weather conditions in the forecast. They say attractions, carnival rides and concerts cannot operate in heavy rain and scheduled fair events will be canceled.
The Ark-La-Tex Agricultural Council Junior Livestock Sale is still scheduled for 8 a.m. on Oct. 30.
Plans are to reopen the fair on Oct. 31 at 10 a.m.
The fair is scheduled to run through Nov. 10.
