Severe weather moves in Saturday around noon

(KNOE 8 WEATHER) - Good Friday!

Another wet day is expected. Showers and storms are likely from the start of the day to the end of the day. A few of which could be strong with the capability of producing frequent lightning, heavy downpours, and damaging winds.

After today we turn our attention to the next threat of strong storms. An intense upper-level low is developing across the southwest part of the country. At the surface, a cold front will extend from east Texas through Oklahoma. The squall line of arrive just before noon, however, ahead of the squall line there could be some severe storms as early as 8-10 a.m.

We could see hail, damaging winds, as well as some localized street flooding. It's not out of the realm of possibilities that a tornado could occur.

The nasty weather exits the viewing area by mid-afternoon and the sunshine returns Sunday.
