Severe weather expected for Saturday

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Today will be another relatively pleasant day with some sunshine for the majority of the day. Clouds and winds will be on the increase over the afternoon ahead of a cold front that will bring with it the chance for some showers and maybe a thunderstorm tonight. Friday will be on the slightly cooler side with some glimmers of sunshine but more showers redeveloping in the afternoon and overnight.

Saturday is not setting up to be a very nice day. There will be a threat of severe weather, with all forms of severe being possible, including tornadoes and flooding. The primary timing of this as of now appears to be in the afternoon/evening hours but we may see some pop-up storms earlier. The weather should clear up for Sunday and the start of next week with sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures.
