Severe risk shifting north

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A few showers are still lingering around the region as we head into your Friday evening. More showers are expected to develop in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The good news is the severe risk tomorrow keeps shifting further north, the bad news is that parts of the region are still located within the slight risk. The weather will be moving in during late morning to early afternoon and the primary concerns are damaging winds and maybe an isolated tornado.

Sunshine will return briefly for Sunday but more rain and storms are expected for next week. Temperatures will remain on the milder side with a brief cool down for Sunday and Monday.
