Senator John Kennedy supports a measured response after attacks on Saudi Arabia

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- As the U.S. and Saudi Arabia place blame on Iran for attacks on Saudi Arabian oil fields, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) says further sanctions are the appropriate response. Some on Capitol Hill are calling for military retaliations, but Kennedy believes sanctions are choking the Iranian economy and are sufficient in retaliation.

The senator says military action may be called for at some point, but he does not believe that time has come. He says in a perfect world Congress would have oversight of such a retaliation, but Kennedy does not think the president will have time to go through Congress if military action is called for.
