No injuries in Ruston Headstart fire | Power outages reported

Update: Officials say power has been knocked out for around three dozen nearby homes due to power lines being damaged by the fire. Firefighters are still on the scene trying to put out hot spots at the school.

First responders are on the scene at Paul E. Slaton headstart in Ruston.

Right now, we are told that the fire has been mostly contained and are working to put out the hot spots that are left.

Officials tell us the headstart caught fire early Tuesday morning on the 1400 block of Oakdale Street.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
