MONROE, La. (KNOE) - KNOE received a call from a viewer inside the hospital saying there wasn't any lights or air working at the hospital around 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Hospital officials tell KNOE the hospital did a "scheduled maintenance" and the back up generator is being used. Officials confirmed there was continuous power from the generator and power was never off or "interruptions to patient services."

When our crews arrived, KNOE noticed lights were in inside and working, however the outside parking lot was nearly pitch black.

There was an electrical crew working on the generator.

KNOE is still waiting to learn if the generator kicked on as soon as the maintenance started.
