Rolling Stones, Katy Perry to headline 2019 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

NEW ORLEANS (WAFB) - The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has released the musical lineup for this year’s 50th anniversary of the celebrated festival.

The Rolling Stones, Katy Perry, Jimmy Buffet, Chris Stapleton, Bob Seger, Pitbull, and Earth, Wind and Fire are among this year’s headliners.

According to festival organizers, tickets to the Rolling Stones will be $185 and offered to Louisiana residents first.

The special pre-sale tickets will be available Thursday on the Plaza level of the Superdome from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Those buying tickets must show their Louisiana ID at the box office and can purchase up to two tickets to the May 2nd date. Buyers can start lining up at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday.

Tickets to the general public will go on sale the following day, Friday, January 18. This year, there will be an extra day of the festival.

Thursday, April 25 will now be the opening day of the 2019 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. Both of the event’s weekends will run Thursday through Sunday, April 25 – 28 and May 2 – 5.
