This Friday, January 24th and Saturday, January 25th, the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe will host some of the best rodeo professionals in the business.

Andy Stewart says this rodeo kicks off the season and is one of the first events to help qualify cowboys and cowgirls for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

He says this event is a great way to continue the rodeo tradition in Northeast Louisiana.

Each year, Stewart says the rodeo has continued to grow with more events featuring Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, and much more.

Tickets are $6 for children under 10, and $15 for adults in advance and $20 at the gate.

You can buy tickets in advance at J&H Boots and Jeans in West Monroe, Patton's Western Wear in Ruston, or online. Visit their Facebook Page for more information.

Stewart says you can even sign up to win a $75,000 credit toward a brand new Dodge RAM Truck.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. with plenty of vendors set up, and the rodeo acts start at 7:30 p.m.

The Ike Hamilton Expo Center is located at 501 Mane Street in West Monroe.
