FOUND: Walker police say missing 14-year-old girl reunited with family

WALKER, La. (WAFB) - A Walker 14-year-old girl who had been missing since Friday has been reunited with her family.

The Walker Police Department said in a Tuesday Facebook post that Dakota McDade, of Walker, was found safe and unharmed. The police department thanked the public for spreading the word of her disappearance.

McDade was last seen Friday, Sept. 27 at Creekside Apartments in Walker.

According to a Facebook post from the girl’s father, Bruce McDade, McDade said his daughter ran away from her babysitter’s house in Louisiana and was believed to be in Mississippi, Arkansas or the surrounding southeast area.

McDade had later updated his post saying his daughter was found.
