MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Pecanland Mall reopens to the public Tuesday for the first time following the governor’s stay home order.

Pecanland Mall reopens to the public Tuesday for the first time following the governor’s stay home order.

According to the mall’s website, all major entrances and exits to its common areas must remain closed. But stores with outdoor entrances like Dick’s Sporting Goods have reopened with the option to do curbside service.

The food court will be open for takeout, but there will be no indoor seating. One retail worker, Kiana Pollard, said the mall has a special presence in the city.

“The mall is like a big part of our city so I think it’s about time we reopen it. I mean, Walmart has been open since the beginning of this so I don’t really see too much of a big difference,” she said.

KNOE contacted the general manager at Pecanland for more information and they have not gotten back to us. They stated on Facebook that the full list of retailers opening will be listed on their website .
