OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says they've arrested a woman accused of firing on a manned aircraft spraying for mosquitoes.

According to arrest records, deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Joe White Road around midnight Wednesday (Aug. 7) in response to suspicious activity.

Deputies say they made contact with complainant/arrestee, identified as Stacy Nguyen Rodgers, who said she saw a drone flying over her house, so she tried to shoot it down. The report states that Rogers fired at the aircraft three times with a revolver style pistol.

According to the report, a witness on the scene had cell phone video of the aircraft moments after the arrestee had fired at it. Deputies say the video clearly showed that the "drone" was actually a manned aircraft. In the audio of the video, the arrestee could be heard saying, "He's coming back to taunt us."

It turns out this manned aircraft was spraying for mosquitoes and was doing multiple passes.

Rodgers is charged with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments.
