Ouachita pair arrested in Union Parish after pound of meth found
Authorities in Union Parish say they've arrested two people from Ouachita Parish after approximately a pound of meth was found in their vehicle.
According to the Union Parish Sheriffs Office, the arrests were made on December 10th, 2019.
UPSO says they received information that someone was bringing a large amount of meth into the parish. The suspected vehicle was located on Highway 15 South near Williams Colony Road.
Inside the vehicle were James Earl Turnbow, 39, of West Monroe, and Brandi L. Evans, 29 of Monroe. Authorities say the suspects were found to have the meth in their possession.
They were both booked into the Union Parish Det. Center on charges of conspiracy to distribute schedule II (methamphetamine), possession of schedule II (meth) with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
