One dead, one injured in Treasure Island shooting

OUACHITA PARISH, La. (OPSO) - Ouachita Parish Sheriff's investigators say a Saturday morning shooting in the Treasure Island neighborhood has left one person dead and another person critically wounded.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting early Saturday morning in the 300 block of Fortune Drive.

OPSO officials say several people were at the home when a fight broke out. During the fight, deputies say the suspect, 17-year-old Jonathan Hogg, obtained a firearm and fired several times at two victims.

One victim was fatally wounded. The second was critically wounded and is currently being treated at a local hospital.

Hogg has been arrested and charged with one count of 2nd Degree Murder and one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder.

The identities of the two victims are not being released at this time.
