"They continue to learn and do school work," said Barkdull Faulk principal Cleveland Mouton.

Despite being in an economically challenged area, the staff at Barkdull Faulk Elementary School are doing their best to support students in the midst of online teaching and learning.

Mouton has been the principal for the last three years and is tackling this new educational hurdle head-on.

"We are going to make sure [that] safety [comes] first then education continues," Mouton said.

Teachers have taken to social media to create booklets and are using over 200 Chrome Book laptops to educate their students.
