OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested three people linked to recent vehicle burglaries in the area.

Officials say they arrested Dakota Hodge, 18, from Monroe on simple burglary charges. He's been placed in the Ouachita Correctional Center. They say the two other suspects are juveniles. They were also charged with simple burglary and placed in Green Oaks Detention Center.

Their identities are not being released at this time. The Sheriff's Office says they expect more arrests and additional charges as the investigation continues.

Deputies say they initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle occupied by the suspects, which matched a description of a car used in burglaries in the Sylvan Lakes Subdivision.

Deputies found evidence in the vehicle tying the suspects to vehicle burglaries in 15 other neighborhoods.

Officers say the suspects stole five handguns and a number of other items.
