New task force focuses on statewide dual enrollment
The state of Louisiana has created a new task force aiming to make dual enrollment more accessible statewide.
The Dual Enrollment Task Force is currently studying data on current dual enrollment processes to better establish a statewide framework.
Dual enrollment would let high school students earn college credits by taking college classes before they graduate.
Gov. John Bel Edwards has thrown his support behind the issue.
He said that he believes dual enrollment would let students get ahead while also saving them money on overall tuition.
