Monroe counselor charged with crimes against nature
A Monroe family counselor is facing serious charges of molesting two children.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says a teacher reported David Govener, a family counselor from Monroe, after one of her students made an odd comment about him.
The child alleged Govener inappropriately touched her and her sister.
Deputies interviewed the girls' mother who was unaware of the accusations. They also interviewed a baby sitter and a friend of the family.
Governor is charged with two counts of aggravated crimes against nature. His bond is set at $4,000.
His attorney sent us a statement saying Govener denies these allegations and maintains he is innocent.
